Specialist energy sector engineer joins Standard Gas

As Standard Gas moves closer to the commercial roll-out of its SG100 decarbonising energy-from-waste technology, Russell Ford, a highly experienced Chartered Engineer with over 15 years’ experience in the global energy sector, has joined the Company’s team. Alongside project planning and plant commissioning, Russell will also focus on maintaining the highest health, safety, and environmental standards.

Technical Director, Laurence Sharrock, says: “Russell Ford is an important addition to our engineering and technical team. His extensive experience – onshore and offshore – with leading energy sector companies from BP to Wood and Equinor, and the range of his skills and in-depth knowledge of major project delivery from planning through front end engineering and design to close-out will be very important as we roll-out our SG100 project pipeline.”

For his part, Russell is opening a new chapter on a career already notable for its wide-ranging international experience. “It’s exciting to be part of a team that’s bringing a new energy technology to market that addresses both society’s and industry’s need for sustainable power resources in the context of Climate Change and Net Zero. I’m looking forward to helping Standard Gas make a significant impact in supporting decarbonisation efforts.”
