It’s been a busy Summer and early Autumn at Scottow Enterprise Park (SEP) in Norfolk where our Operations Team is busy commissioning the first SG100 plant.
In addition to ongoing testing and adjustments to the control systems and plant equipment, we’ve welcomed a steady stream of visitors who have viewed a video and scale model introduction to our technology and taken a guided walking tour of the SG100 itself.
Three local Norfolk MPs – Steff Aquarone (North Norfolk), Jerome Mayhew (Broadland & Fakenham), and Alice Macdonald (Norwich North) – have all visited and been impressed by what they have seen and discussed.

We have also hosted UK Government representatives from the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero and the Department for Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs.
Separately, we welcomed a group from the Norfolk Business Board, a partnership between business, education, the voluntary sector, and local government, which is an independent voice for Norfolk’s businesses, helping to inform decision-making and drive economic growth across the region.
Our most recent visitors were representatives from local and regional organisations promoting sustainable business development across East Anglia. These included business management consultancy, Opergy Group, Hydrogen East, which promotes the development of the hydrogen economy, and Greater Southeast Net Zero Hub, which works with public sector organisations and their stakeholders to support the development and financing of local net zero projects.
During all these visits, we have also emphasised the work Standard Gas is doing with Hethel Innovation, which manages SEP on behalf of Norfolk County Council, and a wider working group comprising other local companies and local academic and government representatives, towards the creation of CleanTech East at Scottow as a hub for regional clean energy and technology business development.
