Standard Gas joins The Carbon Removal Show Coalition
Since 2021, The Carbon Removal Show podcasts have provided accessible, science-based storytelling around carbon dioxide removal (CDR) solutions. With contributions from experts across policy, academia, and industry, the podcast is a great resource for anyone interested in the future of climate solutions and net zero.
To support future podcasts, Standard Gas has become a founding member of The Carbon Removal Show Coalition, a group of funding organisations sharing the show’s goals and values.
“So, as a company with a carbon removing technology, we think it’s important to support and promote information and discussion about what carbon removal means, why it’s needed, and how it can be achieved. This year, we’ve also started our own Standard Gas podcast series, which has covered CDR and the potential of recovering low-or-no carbon energy from biogenic and non-recyclable wastes”
“The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change has underlined the necessity of removing carbon in tandem with reducing Greenhouse Gas emissions if the world is to prevent catastrophic global warming,” says Standard Gas’ Carbon Analyst, Oliver Grogono.
Serving as a bridge between the CDR industry and those beyond it, the Carbon Removal Show has helped build public awareness of and engagement with carbon removals as a vital part of net zero strategies. Since its launch in October 2021, downloads have surpassed 100,000, with podcasts – co-hosted by Tom Previte and Emily Swaddle, and produced by Ben Weaver-Hincks -featuring contributions from over 60 leading experts.
