As a founding member, Standard Gas’ Carbon Char Store subsidiary plans to have an active role in the newly launched Carbon Business Council.

A non-profit trade association of over 50 carbon management start-ups, CO2BC is advocating for early-stage companies focused on removing, utilizing, and managing CO2 to reverse climate change.

We are proud to join the Carbon Business Council as a Founding Member

Formally launched on 19 July, CO2BC member companies are diverse in their approaches, but united in their resolve to create a safer and more prosperous world. CO2BC serves as a resource for its members, legislators, the energy industry, and the environmental community, and to advocate for the responsible growth of the carbon management industry.

CCS director and Standard Gas’ Co-Carbon Lead, Brian Reynolds comments: “Focused initially on the U.S. carbon management sector, CO2BC’s advocacy on policy will have far wider implications for meeting the climate change challenge, which knows no national or geographical boundaries.”

Carbon Char Store has been established to manage the marketing and sales of Standard Gas’ carbon removals, based on the sequestration of its biochar. Establishing an innovative classification system in combination with a blockchain-backed removals purchasing platform, CCS offers high-grade carbon removals that can be used to neutralise emissions.
